Aye up, I’m Wil and I joined the board of trustees in late 2022. I currently work as a deputy manager for 4 residential care homes that support adults with enduring mental health needs. Prior to my current role I spent several years as a substance misuse support worker for a charity based in North Yorkshire.
I first became aware of Action Point, and the great work that it does, when I started in my current job. Several of my service users have been supported by the service and have always spoken highly of it. So when the opportunity to be involved came up I jumped at the chance.
In my spare time I run an online blog offering support to people who struggle with substance misuse. Outside of work I enjoy cycling and video games.
